Georgia Lions Camp for the Blind Work Weekend

April 24 - April 26

 

Work Weekend is an important time for us to come together and prepare camp for the upcoming summer season. From small projects to big improvements, every helping hand makes a meaningful difference in creating a safe, welcoming, and unforgettable experience for our campers.

What to Expect

  • You are welcome to arrive Friday evening to settle in and enjoy fellowship
  • Work projects begin Saturday morning
  • Projects wrap up Sunday after lunch

🌍 Lions International Environmental Service Week

Our Spring Work Weekend also takes place during Lions International Environmental Service Week, making this an even more meaningful opportunity to serve.

Many of the projects completed during the weekend directly support environmental stewardship through cleanup, beautification, and care of our camp’s natural spaces.

Volunteer Projects

Volunteers will assist with a variety of projects, including:

  • Grounds and outdoor cleanup
  • Painting and facility improvements

No special skills are required—just a willingness to help.

Meals and Lodging

Meals and lodging will be provided.

To help us plan appropriately, please be sure to register in advance for accommodations. Your registration allows us to prepare meals, organize lodging, and ensure we are ready to support all volunteers throughout the weekend.
